The Sovereign Order of the Principality of Seborga – SOPS is, since its creation, committed to the most disadvantaged and contributes to promoting humanist and universal moral values with perfect respect for man through field initiatives in the sectors of health, education, culture, the ecological transition to contribute to a more inclusive world. The United Nations, its institutions and members have been the precursors and agents of humanist values since 1946.

It is in this aspect of Corps that the Sovereign Order of the Principality of Seborga – SOPS makes its contribution. Bilateral links between the Order and the various States to facilitate the deployment of its activities to achieve the objectives set with each of the countries.

This provision allows the Order to benefit from privileged access, to reaffirm its political and religious neutrality in its bilateral and multilateral relations with governments and international organizations.


Ubuntu philosophy has its own African universality and the etymology of this word has been rooted since the dawn of time in most Bantu languages (from lingala to kikongo, from kiswahili to kinyarwanda and kirundi, from xhosa to zoulou). And we praise two “great” gentlemen, Mr Nelson Mandela and Monsignor Desmond Tutu, for having been his best ambassadors.

This sentence literally means according to the Bantu language used, “Humanity” or “Generosity” to which is particularly attached H.H. Martial Mutte, president of SOPS (extract from his speech delivered under the auspices of the UN in 2020 on the theme SDG-Culture and Decade of Action-Challenges for Human Rights), resonates fully within the Sovereign Order of the Principality of Seborga – SOPS and thus explains our deep attachment to the African continent with a great A. Our digital administration is precisely based on an inter-cooperation between people of all cultures, languages, ethnicities and continents, and thus allows us to acquire a multicultural wealth of knowledge and skills, from which we have nourished, for the benefit of all peoples…
